The National Static Caravan Owners Union (NSCOU) supports openness and transparency in all areas of our work. This statement explains how we handle requests for information and our commitment to sharing information responsibly.
2. Our Status Under the Freedom of Information Act
NSCOU is an independent, not-for-profit organisation. We are not currently classed as a public authority under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. However, we recognise the importance of transparency and aim to make as much information as possible publicly available through our website and publications.

We routinely publish key organisational information, including:
- Our mission, aims, and objectives
- Our governance structure and leadership
- Membership terms and policies
- Annual reports or updates (when available)
- Financial summaries and non-profit commitments

If you would like to request information about NSCOU’s work, policies, or activities, you can contact us directly by email or post. While we are not legally obliged to respond under the Freedom of Information Act, we will consider all reasonable requests and provide information where it is appropriate and available.

- Relates to ongoing legal, regulatory, or disciplinary matters
- Could compromise the safety, privacy, or wellbeing of members or staff
