1. Our Commitment
The National Static Caravan Owners Union (NSCOU) is committed to making our website and online services accessible to as many people as possible. We want everyone — including people with disabilities — to be able to use our website with ease and confidence.
2. Accessibility Standards
We aim to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. These standards are internationally recognised benchmarks for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological.
3. What We’re Doing
We continuously review and improve our website to make it more accessible by:
- Ensuring clear text contrast and readable fonts
- Providing alternative text for meaningful images
- Designing layouts that are responsive and mobile-friendly
- Supporting keyboard-only navigation
- Structuring pages using accessible headings and labels
4. Known Accessibility Issues
We’re aware that some older PDF documents and third-party links may not yet be fully accessible. We’re working to ensure that any new content we publish meets accessibility standards.
5. Requesting Information in Alternative Formats
If you need information from our website in a different format, such as large print, braille, audio, or easy-read, please contact us. We’ll do our best to provide what you need within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Reporting Accessibility Problems
We’re always looking to improve accessibility. If you find any issues that make our site difficult to use, please let us know by contacting the NSCOU team. We take all feedback seriously and aim to respond within five working days.
7. Compliance Statement
This website is being designed and maintained with accessibility in mind. We are working towards full compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA standards and review accessibility at least once a year.
