When a legal problem arises, knowing where to turn can make all the difference. We are working towards giving eligible NSCOU members access to a professional legal team, including the opportunity to speak directly with a qualified solicitor.
The Reassurance of a Professional Legal Team
NSCOU is in discussions with a UK law firm about a professional legal advice service for eligible members, intended to be available at no additional charge, subject to the final agreement.
Our aim is to give members more than information to read: the opportunity to talk their concerns through with a qualified solicitor. The proposed service would help eligible members understand their legal position, explore their options and approach their next steps with greater confidence.
The service launches on 1 December 2026. We will publish full details of how eligible members can access it before launch.
Who Will Qualify?
The normal waiting period is three months of continuous NSCOU membership. This waiting period is waived for members who join on or before 31 December 2026. All other eligibility criteria and service terms still apply.
For park-related disputes or potential claims, restrictions may apply where the issue existed before joining the Union. Full eligibility criteria and exclusions will be confirmed before launch.
Professional Legal Advice for Everyday Life
The legal advice service will extend beyond holiday park disputes, giving eligible members access to professional guidance across a wide range of legal issues affecting everyday life.
Members will have the opportunity to speak directly with a qualified solicitor, discuss their concerns and understand their options, with the reassurance of a professional legal team to turn to.
Advice will be subject to the areas of law covered by the provider, eligibility criteria and the service's terms and exclusions. Full details of the cover will be published before launch.
