1. Our Commitment

The National Static Caravan Owners Union (NSCOU) is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. 2. Purpose of Equality Monitoring

Equality monitoring helps us understand who our members are and ensure our services reach everyone fairly. It allows us to identify under-represented groups and make improvements that reflect the diversity of our community. Providing equality information is always voluntary, and data is used confidentially and only in line with data protection laws.

3. How We Use Equality Data

When members choose to share equality information with us, it is used to:

  • Monitor diversity within our membership and events
  • Improve accessibility and inclusivity in our communications
  • Identify and remove barriers to participation
  • Inform fair policy development and representation efforts

We never use this information for marketing, profiling, or decision-making about individuals.

4. Confidentiality & Data Protection

All equality monitoring information is handled in strict confidence and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Individual data is anonymised wherever possible, and reports are produced using grouped, non-identifiable information.

NSCOU will review this policy and our equality monitoring practices each year. We are committed to learning from our members’ experiences and ensuring equality and inclusion remain at the heart of everything we do.
